This one-of-a-kind pirate chess set combines a substantial 2-inch-thick solid birch slab, intricate laser engraving, and a full crew of detailed pirate chess pieces to create a functional game that’s just as striking on display.

The 20” × 12” board is made from a natural birch slab, preserving the character, grain and organic edge of the wood. The entire playing surface has been individually engraved with an elaborate pirate world sailing ships, hidden treasure, rugged coastlines, compass details and a sea creature guarding its domain.

Even the chess squares become part of the story, with the dark squares represented by individually engraved pirate doubloons.

The set includes 32 highly detailed pirate-themed chess pieces, with opposing crews finished in black and ivory. Captains, sailors, adventurers and other characters replace the traditional chess pieces, turning every game into a battle for control of the seas.
